Kelly later said that Dodi began romancing Princess Diana just as quickly, and that their romance overlapped significantly with her own. According to Vanity Fair, while Dodi cavorted with the Princess of Wales on another yacht, Kelly would wait for him on one of his vessels.
Dodi and Diana were allegedly having an affair, but Kelly didn’t find out about it until The Sunday Mirror published images of them kissing. Kelly’s lawyer claims that Kelly and Dodi planned to get married on August 9, 1997, and that Dodi even proposed with a massive sapphire and diamond ring.

Who Is Princess Diana
First wife of Prince Charles of Wales, Lady Diana Frances Spencer (July 1, 1961–August 31, 1997). She was known as “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales” from the time of her marriage in 1981 until her divorce in 1996. Divorcing the Prince of Wales in 1996 meant that Diana could no longer use the Royal Highness style that came with being the Princess of Wales. She was formally known as Diana, Princess of Wales after her divorce.
Diana was commonly called Princess Diana by the media and the public, however she did not own such a title and was not personally a princess, a point Diana herself stressed to individuals who referred to her as such. Contrary to assumption, being Princess of Wales does not make one a princess in one’s own right. It’s simply a symbol of having wed a Prince of Wales.

Kelly Fisher Dropped The Lawsuit Against Dodi Fayed After His Death
Kelly and her attorney, Allred, dropped the lawsuit against Dodi after her and Princess Diana were killed in a car crash in Paris while being chased by paparazzi.
At the time, Allred issued a statement reading in part, “Out of respect for the tragedy, and tremendous loss the Fayed family has suffered, she has authorised me as her attorney to dismiss her lawsuit against Mr Fayed.” This is despite the fact that Allred has the legal right to pursue the lawsuit against Fayed’s estate after his death; however, she has chosen not to exercise this right.
She continued, “In light of this enormous tragedy, Kelly forgives Dodi for all of his past injustices against her. Kelly loved Dodi very much, and she is devastated by his loss, and that of Princess Diana. Nothing is more important than the life of a human being.”
