Personaggi principali
Tanjiro Kamado
The opera’s protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado ( Kamado Tanjir? ), is the eldest son of a carbon-selling merchant. There was birth on July 14th. While on his way to sell the carbon, a demon slaughtered his family, except for his sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon. Her goal is to find a cure that will allow her to revert to human form, thus she joins the Demon Killing Squad (Kisatsutai) to do so.
After receiving training in underwater breathing techniques from Urokodaki ( Mizu no Koky? ), he becomes a skilled swordsman and formidable strategist. He has a good heart and often feels sorrow for the devil and his victims. People enjoy being in his company because of his boundless optimism and straightforward demeanour, but he can be at odds with other people due to his perpetually positive outlook and easygoing demeanour. Its blade is a unique shade of black, becoming red when dipped in Nezuko’s explosive blood—a technique you’ll soon learn to master on your own.
A highly developed sense of smell helps him track down and avoid the demons who want to harm him. After that, he starts using his family’s Fire God Dance ( Hinokami Kagura? ), which was derived from the earliest known method of breathing ( Hi no koky? ), as a more effective method of battle, eventually combining it with water-breathing techniques to develop a more sustainable fighting style. While Tanjiro will be mortally wounded during the final battle with Muzan, he will be resurrected after being transformed into a demon by Muzan.
Tanjiro loses his mind in the transformation to the point where he attacks his friends. As a demon, he becomes a greater threat than Muzan himself, since he is immune to sunlight like his sister. However, despite his friends’ best efforts, he is unable to revert back to human form, despite having his eyes and arms reattached. is duplicated by Natsuki Hanae and Satomi Sat[2](Japanese edition) and by Renato Novara and Sabrina Bonfitto.

Nezuko Kamado
Nezuko Kamado ( Kamado Nezuko?) is Tanjiro’s little sister. She was the only member of her family to survive Muzan Kibutsuji’s attack, but he turned her into a monster. However, some of his human memories and emotions have been preserved, and this is what allows him to control his demonic impulses. The brother always carries the sister, who has become photosensitive, in a wooden box. No longer able to communicate, she now wears a bambù hoodie out of fear of being murdered.
It possesses a wide variety of demonic abilities, including regeneration, sorcerous strength, the ability to manipulate its own size, and an explosive blood technique ( Bakketsu?). In contrast to most demons, he replenishes his energy during sleep. Urokodaki’s two years of sleep have imprinted upon his mind the propensity to view all humans as family and all demons who do them harm as enemies.
After then, you’ll be protected from the sun’s rays, which is why Muzan is after you. Tamayo’s medicine helps Tanjiro regain his humanity for the ultimate battle against Muzan, and it’s implied that the medicine helped Tanjiro recover from his demonic transformation after his brother ingested his blood, which included antibodies against Muzan’s demonic blood. Zen’itsu Agatsuma
Tanjiro’s travelling companion, Zen’itsu Agatsuma ( Agatsuma zen’itsu? Before joining the Amassademonic Legion, he was enslaved by a woman who was overdrawn on her credit cards and had to be rescued by the former Pilastro ( Hashira?) of the Flaming Sword. Zen’itsu was slamming himself into a tree during training since he felt like a delusion to his instructor when suddenly a bolt of lightning struck him, turning his blond hair orange.
was tutored in the art of phoenix breathing (Kaminari no Koky? ), but only managed to pick up a single technique, hence he frequently undersells himself and fails to realise his full potential. Has two very distinct personalities: the dominant one is extremely fragile and easily frightened, but when threatened, he or she snaps and adopts the second one, which is more tough and stoic. Joins Tanjiro’s mission and travels with him from that point on, in part because he has a dish for Nezuko but also because she’s come to appreciate how kind and thoughtful he is.
At first, his reserved personality holds him back; he only manages to fight effectively when he’s well-rested and well-fed. However, he eventually learns to put his fears aside and act when necessary, even going so far as to invent his own unique technique. Golden ears and a keen sense of hearing allow him to decipher a person’s true character from the rhythm of their heartbeat. Nezuko’s descendant line continues on to the present day with Toko and Yoshiteru Agatsuma. Both the Japanese editor Hiro Shimono and the Indian translator Mosè Singh have contributed to this bilingual edition.

Demoni
The demons, or “Oni” in Japanese, are immortal beings known for their evil. Many demons are driven to murder and abuse humans because of a murderous impulse they still harbour despite having forgotten most of their human past. Only Muzan, Tamayo, and the first two of the Dodici Lune Demoniache, Doma and Kokushibo, have shown to possess this ability, and they did so by converting from human to demon after being exposed to the blood of a very powerful demon. It’s possible that Akaza, the Third Lunar Crescent, possesses this ability as well, given that she has a habit of asking her stronger opponents to turn into demons if they so desire.
Demons have a wide range of powers, including superhuman strength, speed, and durability, the ability to control their own bodies, and even immortality; they can even launch incendiary projectiles through their blood, a talent known as vampiric abilities ( Kekkijutsu?). There are only two surefire ways to kill a demon: the sun’s rays or a lama nichirin plunged through its head.
Muzan Kibutsuji
All subsequent demons can trace their lineage back to the original demonic being known as Muzan Kibutsuji ( Kibutsuji Muzan?). He or she is also to blame for the deaths of several members of Tanjiro’s family. The most powerful demon, with a wide range of abilities. People of all ages, sexes, and ethnicities are constantly passing through your life. Muzan is a very meticulous person who expects his orders to be carried out exactly as he specifies. He or she dislikes change since it is perceived as a decline, and therefore they or believe that the ideal state is one in which nothing ever changes.
Because of this, it evolves whenever something begins to change beyond its control. In such situations, he rarely, if ever, expresses his emotions, making him seem emotionally distant from those around him. Originally, he was a young Heian-era malaise who underwent an experimental treatment and killed his doctor at the conclusion of the procedure before realising that the procedure had really saved his life. He recognises that the sun is his one true weakness, and he strives relentlessly to overcome it. Upon learning that Nezuko has developed immunity to sunlight, he makes the conscious decision to use all of his resources to capture and divorce her in order to get this protection for himself.
But the abyssal demons use Muzan’s obsession to lure him and his remaining followers into a trap. As the battle progresses, Muzan kills Tamayo and a number of ammazzademons before realising that he has been infected with a variation of the cure against demonic transformation that Tamayo and Shinobu have developed, which saps him of most of his abilities. After being held captive by demons, it is destroyed by the sun’s light, but not before one of the demons, Tanjiro, is transformed into a demon in an attempt to kill the remaining demons; however, his transformation is foiled when he returns to human form with the help of his friends. it has been translated into Italian by Toshihiko Seki (Japanese edition) and Claudio Moneta.
Dodici Lune Demoniache
They were a group of twelve powerful demons known as the Dodici Lune Demoniache ( J ni Kizuki? ), who operated directly under Muzan’s command. Those in the lower ranks are referred to as Lune Calanti ( Kagen? ), numbered one through six, while those in the upper ranks are known as Lune Crescenti ( Jager? ), numbered one through three. According to their relative strengths, the first crescent moon (Prima Luna) is the strongest and the last slender moon (Sexta Luna) is the weakest. The numbers for the Calanti Moons are etched into one eye, while the kanji for the Crescent Moons ( Jgen?) is etched onto the other.
When a member is kicked out of the group, Muzan removes them from their classification by superimposing a “X” over the number that indicates their position. It is unclear what kind of relationship exists between the two groups, although Muzan has claimed that the Crescent Moons look down on the Caliente Moons because the former has remained unchanged for almost a century while the latter have been replaced countless times. After Rui was killed, Muzan decided to disband the group because he saw no point in continuing to work with them. He assassinated every member of the group except for Emu.
