Bringing back that classic Motown sound, Jimmie Allen, Louis York, and the Shindellas are releasing their version of “What Does Christmas Mean?” in 2021. The duet between Pearce and Barrett on “Sleigh Ride” is reminiscent of the Ronettes’ iconic 1963 performance.
Traditional Christmas songs are performed by both Pearce and Barrett in their own right. Pearce adds gravitas to “O Holy Night” with the help of a stunning crimson strapless gown and opera gloves. Barrett, dressed in a beautiful white pantsuit, sings “Silent Night” to the accompaniment of guitar accompaniment by her husband, Cade Foehner. Barrett wore white to the ACM Awards in 2021, the CMA Summer Jam in September, and the CMA Awards earlier this month, so it seems to be a color she enjoys.
