Background
When Dumont was 4 years old, her father abandoned her mother and his three daughters. [Reference needed] Dumont began training in jiu-jitsu at the age of 13. She developed into a six-time state and national Sanda champion during this time.
Dumont discovered a free Muay Thai class when she started training again at the age of 19. She saw Sanda for the first time and quickly joined up after a buddy recommended she try it.
