Carnival Row Season 2: The fantasy series Carnival Row on Amazon Prime Video ended up being one of the service’s hidden treasures. This grim Victorian-style dystopian world torn apart by war and species split was introduced to us in the first eight episodes of the steampunk TV series premiering in August 2019 starring Cara Delevingne and Orlando Bloom. Still, it is evident from the ending that its epic tale is far from over. Fans are wondering how long they will have to wait until they can watch Season 2 of Carnival Row on Amazon Prime now that the show has been picked up for a second season.
Carnival Row Season 2 Production Update: Is Filming For The New Episodes Over?
Yes! Fans are anticipating the release of Carnival Row Season 2 in the near future after the show was renewed early in 2019, despite the series’ history of failures in the wake of COVID-19 in 2018. The production run began in November 2019 but was terminated in March 2020 because of the coronavirus epidemic.
Nonetheless, Amazon had not announced a firm release date when the production crew began making preparations to resume filming in the first week of May. Production resumed in May 2021 in the Czech Republic to film the remaining scenes involving Orlando Bloom, who was unable to participate in the previous year due to the birth of his first child with Katy Perry. It was soon reported that the show was only three weeks away from wrapping up the production. The filming was quick, but finishing the critically praised series’ post-production would take longer.

Carnival Row Season 2 Release Date: Is It Coming Out In November 2022?
Inconveniently, Amazon Prime Video does not plan to add Season 2 of Carnival Row to its library in November 2022. Though it was speculated to debut in August, it appears that fans will have to wait a little longer.
Carnival Row Season 2 has not yet been given a premiere date on Amazon Prime Video. If production on Carnival Row Season 2 follows the same timeline as that of Season 1, we can anticipate its premiere in the third or fourth quarter of 2022. Even though production on Season 2 is complete, we shouldn’t expect a premiere anytime soon.
There is a lot of CGI work that needs to be done, and it will take a long time. A 2023 premiere date would not be out of the ordinary if Amazon agrees to air the series.
There has been no word on whether or not Amazon plans to distribute episodes of Season 2 of Carnival Row on a weekly basis. The Boys and The Expanse are examples of the media conglomerate’s foray into this genre.

Deadline claims that Season 2 of Carnival Row would premiere in 2022, after The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has concluded airing, thus fans may anticipate its arrival no earlier than November 2022. However, as of October 21, Amazon has not announced a release date for Season 2.
Carnival Row Season 2 Episode Count: How Many Episodes Will The New Season Have?
Season 2 of Carnival Row will also consist of eight episodes. Amazon may not have announced the episode names just yet, but we do know who wrote the majority of them.
For Season 2, Episode 1, Erik Oleson wrote the teleplay based on a narrative he co-wrote with Travis Beacham and Marc Guggenheim. Episode 2 was penned by Sarah Byrd, Episode 3 by Wesley Strick, Episode 4 by Dylan Gallagher and Mateja Bozicevic, and Episode 5 by Tania Lotia. Amazon will probably announce the episode names a few days before the show’s debut.

For Season 2, Carnival Row will be run by a new team of creators. As reported by Deadline, with Travis Beacham and Marc Guggenheim out of the picture, Erik Oleson has taken over as showrunner.

Carnival Row Season 2 Plot: What Can We Expect?
Even though Amazon Prime Video hasn’t released an official synopsis for Season 2 of Carnival Row, it seems probable that we’ll learn more about the segregation after Season 1’s cliffhanger. In the first season’s finale, the government instituted a segregation programme that would keep magical creatures separate from the general population. Philo realised that he and Vignette would be separated, so he resolved to join her in the ghetto and confront the fact that he, too, is half magical creature.
Elsewhere, in the season one finale, Agreus and Imogen set sail for a more secure location. When the authorities ordered their ship to return, however, they stubbornly refused.
In an interview, Tazmin Merchant, who plays Imogen, hinted at Season 2 developments for her and Agreus.
According to the actress’s comments to EW, “Imogen and Agreus get on the ship at the end of season 1, and everything is grand for the first five minutes of season 2.” Then, “things start to go terribly wrong for them.”
