Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 Recap:
Those keeping tabs on the Hollow’s whereabouts in the Soul Society’s R&D division have noticed a sudden uptick in their rate of destruction. This suggests the terrifying prospect that, within a matter of days, the lines between life and soul society will merge. The 13 squad officers Ryunosuke and Shino have been tasked with keeping an eye on things in Karakura, but they are unaware of this development.
The latter seems assured and unafraid, but the former seems plagued by the thought that they might run into Hollows. Worse, one of the enemies quickly writes off Shino as expendable, confirming her darkest suspicions. When Ichigo, Orihime, Sado, and Ishida effortlessly dispatch Hollow and assist them in healing from their wounds, Ryunosuke, who has also failed to protect himself, is saved from certain death.
Later, after the incident that brought Ryunosuke and Shino together has been barely mentioned, a man enters the room through the window. Ichigo responds quickly and orders him to leave. Despite his initial assumption that he is dealing with an Arancar, he eventually finds that his adversary is a Quincy named Asguero Auburn.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 1 Ending: What Is Vandenreich?
Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryusai, captain of the First Division of the principal military arm of the Soul Society, is blissfully unconscious of the events happening outside his office as they unfold mysteriously across Japan. Six masked guys appear out of nowhere when he is buried in thought, and they are suspected of having slain one of his men. The group claims to be from Vandenrich and declares war on Soul Society, predicting its imminent destruction. The Masked Ones don’t say much, but the Vandenreich is a Quincy kingdom with designs on annihilating the spirit realm.
About a thousand years ago, after Quincy lost the war against the Shinigami, he was forced to flee the human realm. They tracked each other down to Sereti, a place they deemed secure enough to reunite. He established his secret empire (Vandenreich) with the region’s plentiful reishi and waited for an opportunity to seize global control and wipe out the Soul Society. Declaring war is the first step toward achieving Quincy’s warped ambitions, which he has been waiting for ages to complete.

Who Is The Mysterious Man Who Cut off Luder Frijn’s Hand? Is He The Emperor of Vandenrich?
A saguaro is reunited with his fellow Vandenreich after breaking free from Ichigo’s grasp on Aiburn. When Luders Friesen and the other masked men come, he sees Auburn bowing and thinks it’s a nice touch. Eberon, however, soon remarked that he would never submit to such a man. Luder had his right arm severed and thrown to the ground before he realized what was occurring.
Later, Luders learns that Asguero Ebern is grovelling before a throned man who tells him he despises fighting and requests an update on the situation. Despite the show ending without much explanation of the man’s identity, it is revealed that he is none other than Yvach, who is lovingly referred to as Quincy’s father by his minions. He is the son of the Spirit King and the present Emperor of Vandenrich.
