Even though it doesn’t quite measure up to the likes of Classroom of the Elite or The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting, the new comedy anime The Maid I Hired Recently is Mysterious in the Summer 2022 anime lineup has already proven itself to be the season’s most laid-back and lovable show after only four episodes. The Maid is a cosy anime with a modern setting and a small yet likable ensemble of characters.
The Maid is Mysterious established its likeable main group of characters and their relationships to one another over the course of four episodes. There are still questions about Lilith, the maid, and her young master, and tensions between the characters have yet to be resolved.
Lilith Is The Mysterious Maid in Question
The maid whose services I recently engaged is named Lilith in the novel The Maid I Hired is Mysterious, however her significance in the story is open to debate. She and her youthful boss Yuuri have a similar role as protagonists, and Lilith frequently advances the plot while disclosing nothing about herself. Only a few hints have been given so far in the Maid anime concerning Lilith’s past and her relationship to Yuuri, but it is likely that this character will be developed further and the mystery will be revealed gradually.
Lilith is currently only known as the lovely maid who kindly offered to work for free in exchange for Yuuri’s company when she unexpectedly showed up at his modest mansion. This makes Lilith one of the most endearing and pure housekeepers in anime, and the fact that she teases Yuuri and then reveals her shy dandere side when Yuuri teases her back is a great source of comic relief. Yuuri relies on Lilith more than he lets on; she serves as his housekeeper, best friend, and foster mother all at once.
Yuuri Is The Young Heir Who Needs A Maid
Yuuri’s parents were killed in a car crash not too long ago, leaving the little blond youngster to fend for himself in the spacious family home. Yuuri is still dealing with his loss, but he is doing his best to put on an act of confidence and competence as a defensive, short-tempered tsundere. He is also the new boss of Lilith, and despite being no more than half her age, this curious young man is keen to uncover the truth about his “strange” new maid.
Yuuri is a bright, active, and proud young man who doesn’t appreciate being played with and who demands to be treated with respect. But if Lilith is gone for too long, not even his tough exterior can prevent him from panicking and even crying. After only a month, Yuuri feels incredibly connected to her and can’t fathom a world without her, despite his dislike of the riddles surrounding her.
Gojouin Tsukasa Is Yuuri’s Gentle Friend & Supporter
Due to the fact that Yuuri is still a young adult, he spends a great deal of time in the company of other young adults at school. A good example of this is the timid but amiable green-haired girl, Gojouin Tsukasa, who is trying to comfort her bereaved classmate, Yuuri, in whatever way she can. Tsukasa is extremely lucky to have such a wonderful buddy because she is a complete dandere who has problems expressing herself.
Tsukasa, on the other hand, is considerably more outgoing and playful when she is alone at her family’s estate, painting images of her maid Fujisaki dressed in brightly coloured maid clothes and taunting her. However, whether or not Tsukasa would provide Yuuri with genuine emotional support during his time of grief remains to be seen.
Fujisaki Is Tsukasa’s Exasperated Maid
This anime features more than just Lilith as a maid. Furthermore, there is the level-headed and wryly humorous maid Fujisaki, who must take care of her clients’ daughter Tsukasa. Anime fans are left with many questions about Fujisaki, the second mysterious maid in the show, but they do learn a little something about her attitude and demeanour. In contrast to Lilith, who is a fun dandere, Fujisaki is a sharp-tongued and impatient woman who pretended to resign when Tsukasa asked her to dress up as a magical female maid.
Fujisaki is more similar to Ai Hayasaka from Kaguya-sama, but she isn’t as icy. For example, Fujisaki was kind enough to lend Lilith a spare dress for an open house at Yuuri’s school and provide transportation home when Lilith became stranded during a lengthy shopping expedition. Fujisaki is the quintessential kuudere due to all of these characteristics; he or she is reserved and only shows their true feelings for the appropriate person.
