Introduction
This universe lost its “glow” all of a sudden. Dark meteorites, later dubbed the “Iron Nocturne,” rained down from the sky one night, forever altering the face of the planet.
These meteorites gave rise to hideous monsters known as “D2,” which eventually conquered Earth and its inhabitants. Human-made music is enticing to the D2, hence the word “music” was eventually banned.
The people who are able to combat these creatures, however, quickly emerged. Music-wielding women, or “Musicarts” girls. The girls can channel the music of the greatest operas and compositions of all time into their very beings, giving them the strength to vanquish the D2. And the Conductor tells the girls what to do and guides them along the way.
Future time: the year 2047. The United States of America, which had been decimated by the resistance against the D2, is now gone. The Musicart Destiny takes Takt, its conductor, to New York.
Takt, who needs music to survive, and Destiny, the Musicart who wants to wipe out the D2, are stuck in a world devoid of sound. What kind of happiness or sadness will they find as a result of the music they make?
