Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Kyojuro Rengoku ( Rengoku Kyjur?) was a pivotal supporting character, especially during the Mugen Train Arc. Flame Hashira ( En Bashira?) was a Demon Slayer and a member of the Demon Slayer Corps who passed away.
Kyojuro Rengoku Appearance:
Kyojuro was an adult, and he was tall and muscular. He exudes an air of boundless optimism and is perpetually plastered with a beaming grin, qualities that have earned him a reputation for charisma. Long, flame-red streaks ran through his bright yellow hair; he also sported two shoulder-length bangs and two chin-length bangs on the sides of his head. His forked eyebrows were black, and his eyes were golden but faded to red around the edges.
Kyojuro sported a somewhat lighter brown variant of the standard Demon Slayer outfit, which consists of a brown gakuran jacket, a white belt, and tattsuke-hakama pants. On top of it, he donned a haori that belonged to his father Shinjuro, and was probably also worn by his grandfather when they were both the Flame Hashira. The pattern was a white-yellow gradient with red ridges at the end that resembled flames. His outfit was completed by a pair of red kyahan with yellow flames bursting from the bottom up, a pair of light brown tabi socks, and a white zri with red straps.
When Kyojuro originally joined the Demon Slayer Corps, he wore merely the standard Demon Slayer uniform. However, as he advanced in the organization, he began replacing his black haori with a white one and eventually adopted the distinctive flame design that has become his trademark.

Kyojuro Rengoku Personality
Kyojuro was extremely devoted to his role as a Hashira and, at times, might come across as charmingly offbeat. He had a good nature, was honest to a fault, and was a master swordsman thanks to his dedication to training. The most important of his mother’s teachings was that those who are born powerful had a duty to protect the vulnerable, and he was a brave warrior who committed to this ethic.
Kyojuro also cared deeply about his family, as evidenced by his respect and concern for his deteriorating relationship with his father, Shinjuro Rengoku. He has an unwavering belief in his younger brother, Senjuro Rengoku, and always hopes the best for him. Even in death, he emphasized this to his father and younger brother by telling them to “take care of your body” and “follow your aspirations no matter what.” To a lesser extent, Kyojuro holds that a person’s dedication to their goals and their desire to serve others is not for naught, even if they lack exceptional talent.
Kyojuro may seem overly exuberant at first glance, but he is actually a very logical and strategically knowledgeable fighter who acts swiftly and precisely when other people’s lives are on the line. Even Nezuko, a demon he had previously planned to murder, impressed Kyojuro with her bravery as he witnessed her risking her life to protect those she cared about. Kyojuro is generally a very positive person, but he does worry that the people he cares about—his friends—might not survive.
Last but not least, he shares the intense hatred of demons shared by most Demon Slayers, who see them as morally repugnant and evil. But Kyojuro is capable of keeping his hatred of demons from clouding his judgment, as evidenced by his acceptance of Nezuko as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps after witnessing her risk her life to protect innocents.
Kyojuro Rengoku Abilities:
Abilities Generally speaking: Kyojuro was an extremely potent and talented fighter because he was a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Kyojuro was a formidable warrior even before he succeeded his father. He single-handedly exacted revenge for the nine Demon Slayers who had fallen to the Flute Demon and then went on to beat Lower Rank Two Hairo, who lauded his swordsmanship before he was killed. Shinjuro Rengoku, Kyojuro’s father, said that when he quit instructing his son, Kyojuro became a Hashira by studying the three-volume guide book to the Flame Breathing method.
Even the fourth-strongest of the known demons, Akaza, an Upper-Rank Three, has acknowledged and complimented Kyojuro for his strength.
He even went so far as to offer to transform him into a demon so he could become even stronger than he already was, something he did exclusively to the most skilled swordsmen.
He was so close to achieving the Transparent World ( Sukitru Sekai?) and the Selfless State ( Muga no Kyuchi? ), as evidenced by Akaza’s praise of his battling spirit and his claim that it was approaching the “Realm of the Highest.”
Extrasensory perception: Kyojuro’s senses were so finely tuned that he could feel Akaza’s massive presence and perceive his demonic aura.
The two demons on the train were identified by Kyojuro before anyone else did, proving that he could sense their presence more quickly and precisely than Tanjiro Kamado, who has a keen sense of smell.
He could also use this skill to accurately assess the regeneration potential and vulnerabilities of most demons, including Enmu. Kyojuro could also precisely see Tanjiro’s injuries, including a torn blood artery, allowing him to instruct Tanjiro on how to stop the bleeding. Further, he was able to recognise the malicious intent behind Enmu’s spells and thus avoided being rendered helpless by them.
Immense Speed & Reflexes: Kyojuro, being a Hashira, had superhuman reflexes and quickness, which not even a skilled Demon Slayer like Tanjiro could detect. Kyojuro could run so fast that it would shake the ground and almost throw a train off the tracks. Kyojuro can also readily travel at speeds beyond the visual range, allowing it to decapitate demons before they have a chance to respond.

With lightning-quick reflexes, he severed Akaza’s arm just as the Upper Rank was about to strike Tanjiro. Kyojuro was able to keep up with Akaza’s lightning-fast techniques and outsmart him at times; Akaza himself has said that his motions are faster than the blink of an eye. In fact, even Akaza was taken aback by this and couldn’t help but voice his admiration for it. Yosuke Hashibira once commented that Kyojuro seemed to be moving at the speed of light, further attesting to his incredible speed.
Immense Stamina & Endurance:
Through the course of the series, Kyojuro’s battles showed him to have superhuman stamina and endurance. Kyojuro, in his Special One-Shot, managed to burst his eardrums without flinching, despite the obvious anguish this must have caused.
Hairo, the former Lower Rank Two, inflicted dozens of severe wounds and injuries on Kyojuro Rengoku throughout the course of the story, but he was able to stall long enough for all the bombs he planted to be disarmed without showing any signs of pain or fatigue, shocking Hairo and leaving him wondering if the person he met in the past was really the same person he was fighting now. More than that, he was able to hold off Enmu in five separate railway cars during their combat when Enmu fused with the entire train.
Last but not least, he was able to stay up with Akaza, one of the strongest demons in existence, despite pushing himself to his absolute mental and physical limits and incurring many deadly wounds, including a smashed eye, shattered ribs, and damaged internal organs. His ability to hold off Akaza while being wounded in the Solar Plexus by an Upper Rank’s arm and bleeding to death was very astounding. Never once did he flinch or exhibit any indication of anguish or misery despite receiving lethal wounds and injuries.
